Welcome aboard!

I guess we will not manage to drag you into optical printing in the darkroom if you didn't even do it before when you were using film, but good luck with the film processing anyway!

Cheers, Bob.

Bob, you may be right. OTOH, finding a scan-specific developing workflow is a challenge in itself, as that obviously dictates criteria that are different from those needed for optical printing.

I hope there might be a chance to find people over here who have already gained experience with testing a film/developer combo specifically for film scanning. I'm thinking in the direction of 'flat' negs that reproduce a maximum object brightness range ... Or a development process that can deliver maximum shadow detail - something that apparently many 'scanning beginners' have to fight with.

Scanning for digital printout is not something we discuss on this forums as we want FADU to encourage traditional chemical/optical processes. There are plenty of places to discuss digital/hybrid workflows out there but only a very few that stick to non-digital techniques so we try to stick to our (self imposed) remit. Saying that, a few members here do use some digital and perhaps they might like to contact you via PM with suggestions.
