Default Hello from Warrington

Hello

My name is Kevan. I live in Warrington.

A returnee to the joys and frustrations of proper photography after my son and his girl friend became interested in Lomography.

They were spending a fortune on processing so, a trip to ebay or two later I was able to show them how to develop their own B&W films which we now scan using a v500 and the results are not too bad.

I want to purchase an enlarger in the near future and get back to the Darkroom. Shame I sold all my gear 25 years ago , an opemus I think it was, mainly B&W 35mm and 2 1/4 sq and a little dabble with cibachrome.

So, I am hoping to make good use of the forum and all the experience the members have to offer.

Any advice on enlargers (2nd hand eBay stuff) most appreciated I have a yashica 124g so would want to be able to enlarge from 120 roll film.

Thank you. Kevan

Hi and welcome to the forum Kevan.

As far as enlarger recommendations go; start off with something not too expensive and work your way up.

Welcome Kevan. As far as enlargers are concerned there is always e-bay. However have a look at SDS, one of our sponsors. They might be more expensive but at least you know what you get with guarantees. Sometimes our FADU friends sell stuff and that's worth looking out for as well.

Hello

Thanks for the replies. I have purchased a Paterson Darkroom set and a philips enlarger pcs130 from ebay.

I'll let you know how I get on and hopefully be able to show some of my prints, just do not expect too much

Kevan
