Hi Lee and welcome. It is always worrying to be a possible victim of the recession but if you are in a position, financially to re-focus then a forced change might be no bad thing if it allows focus on things that matter like hobbies and family.

One thing for sure is that we all "pass this way but once" and time cannot be compressed. Too many think that they can fit into a few years of late retirement all the things they put off for too many years.

I look forward to having you here

Mike

Hi Lee. I am pretty new here too but welcome aboard! I am still a couple of years behind you, but I understand the re-focusing thing...

Welcome.

I use that guise of professional musician sometimes but it hasn't taken me around the world yet!

Steve.
It was fun but I'm now confined to a home studio that I share with my darkroom. Nice mic preamps by the way!

Welcome Lee from across the Penines. I used to work in the ski industry and organised quite a few ski test evenings at Rossendale Ski slope which I assume is still functioning.

I was made redundant and suffered ill health 20 years ago so, like you I had to make quite major changes. I am now 61 and thoroughly enjoying a fairly sedentary life style

Lee, best wishes for the future My wife was recently made redundant and she is also reevaluating her direction in life.
Interesting times we live in
