just an 'Hello'

Hi all,
Thought I'd do things by the book and introduce my self proper,my name is Liam and I'm 36yrs old, living in the east midlands.

Having had Interest in photography or at least images (black and white for the most part) for a very long time, I like to think I have a good eye for most things creative..I attended art collage and have always worked in a varied engineering position so this has sort of combined 'theory' and 'practicle'-allowing me to explore some interesting artistic whims over the years,most recently restoring a classic vw from bare metal to 'show standard' (and custom)....
However I'm finally in a position to take up photography as a hobbie,something I've always wanted to get into! the whole nine yards really,from click to paper-having just about about completed the zillion other projects I tend to have on the go

So far I have been gifted a 'pentax super me' in lovely working condition along with various lenses,filters,flash unit etc,This is my xmas present from my lovely wife so I want to spend the next few weeks till it's in my hands sucking up information from here and everywhere I can. The other thing is pending a house move I may be able to set up a DR too!

I guess that's all really,Thanks for hosting what looks like a very fact filled site, oh and any tips for the super me?
