Default Hanimex flash TZ36

I bought one of these off e-Bay thinking it would be a direct replacement for my defunct Pz2*44. Well, it arrived today and it isn't and mention of it is a bit scarce on Google. There are two basic problems: the PC synch cable is missing and there's no appparent way if fixing it to the Pz2*44's flash bracket, The latter I'll have to sort out but I'm a bit confuused by the former. There appear to be 2 sockets, one on either side of the flash unit. On the right (facing the flash), there is a recessed rectanglar socket with two pins, which I think must be the attachment. However, on the left there is another socket in the form of a broad "H" that has me wondering.
Anyone got any ideas?
Ps I've now seem some photos and the "H" shaped socket seem to be for the synch cord. Where ever I can find one is another matter.

Martin, I take it that the Hanimex is no longer produced and there are no references to be found on Google on its instruction leaflets?

If the worst come to the worst there appears to be an instruction manual on e-bay or maybe the site known as Butkus has one?

Sterling 12.50 for a manual for a flash gun that cost less than GBP10.00 and with no guarantee that a suitable cord is available anywhere ... Could well be a case of good money after bad.

True but if Butkus has one he only asks for a donation and it's on an "on trust" basis.

I don't know your flash, but does it have a Hot shoe,? if so the you can get a hot shoe to cord adapter, I recently got one from Firstcall for my Vivater 285, for which the cord had got damaged, works a treat,

It's a hammerhead design with tilt and swivel.
