> But it would be great to see the second print, made from this film in the forum.
I like to write postcards form my own images. The second "print" ist some kind of postcard where I wrote some words to Mike on it. For my point of view, it does not count as a "real" print. I did not make a scan form it and don't have another print. Mike, would you please so kind to put it in the Gallery? |

I see Uwe has beaten me to it. But I have tried to get the hand colouring in.
Please could a mod. change the attribute to Uwe Pilz. Thanks, Mike |

Yesterday I received a beautiful print from Martin (MartyNL). It shows a partly destructed church in New Zealand. Reason for the damage was an earthquake.
I really like this print. It has some kind of historical moment in it. I assume the church will be repaired ant this view is transient. The scene is well framed and printed on baryta paper. I love baryta paper, but this is special, at least for me. It is MG IV which is very thick. I never used such a thick paper. Foma has a thinner base, and the ORWO form my younger days too. Martin used a Fuji GA654Zi for that shot. I owned this camera for a while. It has a very sharp lens and is a all automatic medium format camera. Nevertheless, it was not my piece of cake and I sold it. I often run out of light, especially in the tele range. And I love 6x6 over 6x4.5. But I remember this camera from time to time which was a companion of some important journeys. |

My offering made it to the post this afternoon despite pouring rain and howling gale.

Just received from Michael a lovely print of Hydrangea leaves. It is from a 6x6 negative, and pin sharp. I like the unusual tonal range, enhanced by the use of a red filter. The leaves are all very well separated, and have an almost tangible appearance. Many thanks, Michael, I am very pleased with it. Alex Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
