Default Bronica ETRSi SCreen

I am looking for a decent to v good standard screen for my ETRSi. This is the one with a 45 degree split image rangefinder with a microprism circle. If there was one made with a horozontal split image that would be even better.
The one I have is quite badly marked. It works OK but the marks/scratches are distracting.

I remember that Neill posted contact details for a Bronica specialist a few months ago. It was someone who deals in used equipment, but was particularly helpful with Bronica. I cannot recall the details, but it would be worth searching the forum for 'Bronica spares' or similar. The screens on my SQ cameras are plastic, and very easily scratched. I'm sure the ETRS ones will be the same. There is a book called 'The Bronica Manual' by William Cheung which is quite useful. You should be able to find a used copy if you're interested. Prices vary, so don't pay too much. It lists accessories such as screens, etc as well as lenses.

It is worth emailing Ian and having a chat - he has a lot of stock in store that is not yet been listed. He is also very happy to give advice. He's an ex pro MF user and can talk from experience.

Thanks all, I have similar issues, I tried to clean my 45 degree poor condition ETRS screen as it was really dark and dirty. I used a PEC pad and their corresponding optical fluid (eclipse). Much brighter but I think I may have damaged it either that or the marks are just brighter now. I have the horizontal split one in my ETRSi body and its relatively unmarked (one small mark) but very dirty, dark and could do with a clean. Could do with a spare really.

Is it advisable to clean these by just dabbing gently with the cleaning pad? I have one of the Bronica service manuals and it says to clean with alcohol only (which this eclipse fluid stuff is) but doesn't say anything about technique.

The best screen I've used on a Bronica is the Beattie Intenscreen.

They are expensive and I'm not sure i you can still get them new in the UK. Used ones pop up from time and would be worth considering if you can find one.
