I went looking for a 2nd hand copy stand last year, assuming that one of the Kaiser models would be easily available. Sadly not, and in the end I adapted an attachment for my Meopta Magnifax which works well enough. You still occasionally see reasonable prices on used enlargers and I would have thought these would be a more robust option compared to the intrepid product.

I agree Tom that a s/h enlarger would be a better option but if you need something small and portable with a led head this seems ideal. Unfortunately cheap copy stands appear to be in short supply.

Default Vibration

It seems to me that most of the comments above relate to the tripod used and the risk of vibration, which has little to do with the product.
I have two tripods - a 1960s Quickset Husky, which is too heavy to carry around, and a tripod apparently identical to the one pictured, (mine is branded K&F Concept) - it has a swing-out joint that allows one column to be set horizontally. I used it (literally) hundreds of times to support a d... camera above an iPod to convert 35mm Kodachromes and 6x6 Ektachromes, some dating back to the mid-1960s, to JPEGs for family members. I used an electric remote release and a shutter speed of 1/2 sec with a 100mm 1:1 macro lens. There was absolutely no evidence of shake or vibration.
I notice that the Intrepid lightsource has no controls, therefore no need to touch it because the adjustments are made on the controller knobs and buttons, so no danger of jogging it.
Few darkrooms are set up by the roadside and I doubt that there is a risk of vibration from passing traffic.
I wish their Kickstarter campaign well - the product looks really well-thought-out.
