My RC paper dev formula
Here is my RC Paper developer formula I got out of a Forte book from Focus some years ago- it works well with most RC papers such as Ilford Mulitigrade IV, Kentmere Kenthene but NOT very well with Ilfospeed for some reason.
FORTE FD 203 RC Paper Developer Phenidone 0.5 gm Sodium Sulphite anhyd. 50 gms Hydroquinone 12.0 gms Sodium Carbonate anhyd. 60 gms Potassium Bromide 2.0 gms Water to make 1 Litre Dilute 1+3 ( it says 1+5 but I found it was too weak)

This is an Ilford formula published first in the mid 1950's it's the PQ version of ID-20, however Ilford then added Benzotriazole and it became ID-62. There were customer complaints about variations in image colour with some papers as the formula is slightly warmer working than ID-20.
This may well be the case with modernIlfospeed too. Mac |
