Welcome Jake - Hatred is certainly the language of youth - remember everything you see on screen, paper etc is digital. For many of us it is the craft of film, processing and making prints that is pleasure - look for the pleasures in life as oppose to the opposite and you will enjoy life a little more Remember if they stop making film we have the capacity to make it ourselves!

Just remember when you see a digital camera.. deep breath's, stay calm, fight the urge to jump up and down on it. And it's probably best if someone starts showing off their digital prints, that they had printed by someone else, to leave the room before doing something drastic. It works for me when I see one.

I joined only this weekend, but already I can see that you have come to the right place.

In stead of hating the global phenomenon, I am enjoying the massive selection photographic equipment that is now on offer, and at prices I couldn't touch before.

I take it you have a camera?
