Default Return to Film

Hi folks,

Coming back to film after gap of over ten years. Just bought myself a Yashika Electro 35 GSN with the aim of trying some 'proper' black and white again. I decided to deliberately avoid an SLR and keep the equipment side of things simple - I could easily get lost in the gadget-value and forget the picture taking!

I live in Nottingham, work in Derby and hope to see something worth photographing when I am out walking our dogs.

Looking at some of the other introductions, I think I am in the right place!

Mark.

Mark,

Welcome back to film and FADU. Keeping things simple and concentrating on the images is a very good idea.

Neil.

welcome Mark, I used to do that when I was walking the dogs but they have become wise to it. I no longer take the camera

Welcome, Mark. Walking dogs with a film camera eh? I can't think of the better combination of keeping the body and mind in good trim

Welcome Mark - FADU is a friendly place. You're a better man than me if you can combine dog-walking and photography...although my Border Collie now knows when my camera is up at eye-level to come to my side. Otherwise he's in the frame and gets shouted at.
