Street Level
Thanks for the info, Street Level looks like it could be an answer, also tempted by the GSA course. I'll take a trip in to visit later in the week. Our local camera club had a darkroom but the last time I was down a few years ago it was unused and and a bit unloved. At the time I tried to drum up some interest in film but to no avail.

Hi Pete, Welcome to FADU! I know what you mean about the magic. I've only just started home dev/print myself recently. My 10 year old son loves shooting film and print making too - watching his picture appear in the developer really is magic to him.
He also loves his Minolta SLR - compared to his little compact digital he thinks its just amazing to use because it's fast and he likes the big view finder and lens. They don't know what they're missing kids with digital compacts!

Well I just made my first real prints in 40 years, I forgotten how much fun / frustration darkroom work was. I joined Streetlevel photoworks in Glasgow and they have a very well equipped darkroom available at a reasonable price, worth a visit if anyone else is darkroomless in the area. Perhaps after a few (lots of) sessions I may have a print I can submit.
