Not really, as I luckily have two sets of fingers = one set for each action required.

Oh, and I also have a tongue, to stick out slightly, as I do the above.

For what its worth:

I use a salad spinner to give the wet reels a good spin to remove water.

Once hung up, any remaining drops are removed from the base side (other side to emulsion side), with a fresh j-cloth.

Not had any water marks since.
