No-one has spoken for this developer yet. Really no takers? Disposing unless I hear soon. Message me to claim.

I haven't seen Vincent for a long time, so Colin, perhaps you should give this a go?

Right gents.

Jonathan,
I would be delighted to try this. I have one roll of TechPan, but perhaps I'll negotiate with Mike (mpirie) for some of his Giant Stash of unused Tech Pan if I get a workable result. I was googling this stuff earlier today, and even when it was discontinued the film was already old, and had been cut from a frozen master roll Kodak found down the back of the couch.

I know you said 'free to a good home' but I will happily cover post, or send you something you can use instead.
PM coming.

Jolly good, the dope is going to Colin (Skellum). I'm sure we'll all be fascinated to know how it turns out!

Hi Jonathan.
Thank you. My understanding is that this film is very slow, and so to get the maximum benefit from it's high resolution I'm thinking it's going to be best on a tripod. If so, probably going to use the Horizon. Bigger neg, and just possibly the chance to print big panoramic prints.

Some years ago I visited a little gallery in Broadford on Skye. The black and white work was really fine, with the look of Medium Format about it, even though everything was printed in the 2:3 aspect of 35mm.Baffling, but it turned out his secret was Technical Pan.
Just found his website still exists!

I'd be interested to see - would you care to share the link?

Yeah, my TP tends to get used in the X-Pan on a tripod. Seems a waste to not take full advantage of the film's abilities by hand-holding.....especially at around EI12.

Technidol was really the only developer capable of giving pictorial results with this film, though it can be souped in many different ones for different results.

Last time i used it in 120 i couldn't believe the detail that appeared.

There was a technique recommended where the developer was put into the tank and the film on the spiral was lowered in to the open tank of developer before the lid was put on. This was to even out the activity of the dev as it first touched the film surface. I guess a pre-wash could avoid that but i can't remember if Kodak recommends it or not.
