Default High On The Hispar

A friend trekking in Pakistan recently found a used APS 200iso film in its canister high on the Hispar glacier. This film will have been through many freeze / thaw / intense heat cycles, but how exciting to try to get it developed and return it to its owner. There can't be that many who have been up there. Any suggestions as to where in the UK we might enquire about developing it?
Pete

You could try one of our sponsors AG photographic they offer a service of specialist processing of outdated and obsolete film;

Hi Pete. The sponsor mentioned doesn't seem to list the APS format, which is not surprising as it is a discontinued format, so one has to search out speciality film developers.

The first link is in the US, but use it to see if your film has been fully used, or even already possibly developed, by looking at the icons on the reel and comparing to the pictures given:

https://thedarkroom.com/film-formats/aps-film/

The next two links are UK processors who still process and scan APS films. I can't recommend one over the other, as I haven't used them, but other members might have...?:

https://dscolourlabs.co.uk/about/APS_Processing

https://oldfilmprocessing.net/aps-film/

It would great if you could post a few pictures here, if and when you get the film and prints done. As you say, it may have been through a few cycles of harsh seasons, but sometimes unidentified rolls of film can surprise us!

Good luck with your venture.

Thanks Terry. Funnily, those were the 3 links I found when I briefly googled the matter.
The film has been exposed but not developed. I have emailed the 2 companies in your link, plus a 3rd who has done work for me in the past and with whom I have some relationship.
I'll certainly post the images if we get some results.

I stand corrected Marty.

It wasn't obvious enough for me to see a link to the necessary page.

Well done in finding it.
