Question ADOX Fine Print Variotone Premium FB

While checking out what range of Warm Toned FB Papers are available I came across the new ADOX Fine Print Variotone Premium FB on the Ag Web Site - http://www.ag-photographic.co.uk/ado...m-fb-149-c.asp

I am not sure how long it has been out or anything much about it at all

Has anyone tried it or is currently using it ?

Martin

New to me also, I ordered the ADOX Fine Print Vario Classic, but I don't think they had the Premium Warmtone then. Thanks for the heads up, sorry I can't help with any info though.

Adox Variotone Premium is made by Harman in cooperation with Fotoimpex and Moersch http://www.moersch-photochemie.de/co...galerie/variot The paper is very close to Ilford WT, but the base is even more white. http://www.film-and-darkroom-user.or...ight=variotone

Just noticed they only have 10 or 25 sheet packs, which means you don't benefit from the discount from buying larger packs.

I recently printed on 13 different papers currently available and I think the Variotone WT is actually my favorite.

Wonderful paper, very responsive to developers re image color, some tending toward a yellowish-brown, others to a reddish-brown, others appearing relatively colder (I haven't tweaked any formulas yet but I think it might even be possible to get a true 'cold' print from this; so far I've tried D72, A130, E72, G261, and D55-original and modified).

The only paper I've tried with a whiter base (by a slim margin) is Kentmere VC and this includes MCC110, MGIV, etc.

Just starting with some toning samples; very responsive to selenium.

Beautiful lustrous surface air dried, a tribute to Ilford's coating line.
