The thread will be the almost universal Edison Screw although some enlargers will have the bayonet if originally intended for the UK Market. The colour temperature I chose was 6500k which gave an intense pure white light from an equivalent consumption to a 12watt bulb. However it was not compatible with my digital timer, so the bulb was relegated to the inspection light used when I print colour. It is far more accurate than the blue tinted tungsten bulb I used before. |

If you would of looked at my location you would of seen i am not in the states
Get the bulb out and look at whether it is an edison or bayonet, if not loook where the bulb goes in I cant see what he has to loose phoning firstcall, they sell LPL enlargers and could steer him in the right direction Dont get one with writing on (230v/50HZ) etc, it has to be a bulb with no writing on The link i provided gives him 2 bulbs, one that is 120v (USA) and a 230v that is the UK, the bulbs are for the posters enlarger model Quote:

Ooops sorry. However if you search on the web with LPL6600 enlarger specifications it describes what bulb you need.

Also, I have found (especially) on longer threads, people quite often come in at the end and haven't read through previous posts and questions, and then quite often end up asking the same or similar questions or posting answers that have already been given. So some confusion is easily made in longer threads, but it all seems to have been sorted now. But, most importantly, and I know it's only a short period since the original post, (although it feels like it was made a while ago now for some reason? Must be all this stuck indoors that's doing it), but the OP asked a question and has then not come back to read the answers / help given, as he / she still has only one post listed against their name..? Only time will tell if he / she returns. Terry S |

Hi Terry
Yes it,s ok, no harm done The OP needs to update their location as this helps with international voltages of the bulb amongst other things I think the OP has enough info and we should not post anything else untill they reply, if not leave the post dead I have seen the same thing happen on other forums were the post has gone on for 7 pages and the OP never cam back after the first post to thank anyone, or let anyone know the outcome Quote:

There may be good reasons why the OP hasn't replied but if I were to ask a question of this nature it would be because I was hoping to take action asap and therefore needed answers asap . I'd be checking for replies within hours of posting.

Sorry for getting back to you all so late and thanks for all the advice regarding bulbs etc.
I've finally got around to using the enlarger again and picked up a Hauck timer to go with it too. The original bulb seems fine for now, but will get an LED one from B&Q. |
