Default Enlarger timer - help needed!

Hi there,

First post on the forum and I am a budding developer. Currently putting together my own dark room and have hit a conundrum. I have a Durst B30 Enlarger which, as I am told by the instructions, has a mains plug that is supposed to lead into an Enlarger timer. My issue is that I can't find any such Enlarger timer which can take a mains plug.

Any timers I must have missed out on? Any other advice?

Many thanks in advance.

Hi there and welcome aboard :-)

Timers often come with European type sockets so you may need an adaptor. If you are in the UK, UK plug to European plug adaptors are readily available in Tesco etc. It is worth taking the timer with you to make sure the adaptor fits. More recent versions may have IEC (computer type) sockets so that is an easy replacement for the existing plug. Some also have proprietary sockets but the European style socket seems the most common.

If you have any timer in mind, post a pic and we can advise specifically.

Have fun!

Hello and welcome to the Forum. Yeah a quick pic would be great to see what we're dealing with.

I have an old durst enlarger with an old timer has a mains plug but a special plug that I had to fit to the enlarger side of the timer. if that makes sense.

Cheers guys, I think my ineptitude in electronic devices prevailed here - an adaptor will do just fine
