Default Hi from Oxfordshire

Hey All,

Didnt know there was still enough interest in the film/darkroom field to keep a forum like this lively.

Studied photography during A-level studies however now that I have a suitable kitchen this now get transformed to a darkroom on occassional evenings.

Hope to speak to some of you in the coming months.

Will

Welcome aboard Will!

Still a few of us about ;-)

Converting a kitchen in to a temporary darkroom is a bit unusual - bathrooms tend to be favorite (fewer windows, if any) but whatever gets you in the dark!

Cheers, Bob.

Hi Will and welcome to FADU there is a lot of us about but we hide in the dark ,and there's nothing wrong in using a kitchen as a darkroom most of us have done it one time or the other ,anyway you can do it where ever you want ,they cant touch you for it ....

Welcome Will from a neighbour in the next county. A kitchen can be a good place as it has the facilities of running water and waste pipes. Depending on where you live and the nearest street or neighbours lights a simple blind might be enough to allow printing now that we are moving rapidly into the dark night period.

Hi Will and welcome to Fadu, more of us around than a lot of folk think, we tend spend a lot of time hidden away in the dark,
Richard
