What is the difference between 67 and 7700?

About 25 quid, Boom Boom!
Sorry Mitch- http://www.jollinger.com/photo/enlargers/lpl.html Seems like the C6700 is an older design with condenser head. Infp here: http://www.jollinger.com/photo/cam-c...PL%20C6700.PDF C7700 newer, fractionally bigger base board and dichroic mixing head. details here: https://ianbfoto.com/downloads/Darkr...hotografix.pdf |

The 7700 enlarger will allow printing 35mm with a 50mm lens up to 20x16, it has altogether better construction and is both heavier and more stable. The head is moved up and down by locking and releasing a large screwed knob
The 6700 is a much lighter enlarger, with a simpler construction. It has a shorter column which will allow enlargements up to 12x16 with a 50mm lens. The head is moved up and down by releasing and holding a spring loaded lever instead of the knob. The enlargers share the same design of negative carriers. I too have both enlargers (plus a spare 7700 head - don't ask!) I have found the 7700 to be easier to use because the sprung loaded release on the 6700 column is (for me) less precise to use. Contrary to the post above, the 6700 is not a condenser enlarger . It uses the same halogen bulb as the 7700 (Hence the need for a transformer) and a mixing box with dichroic filters for colour or multigrade printing. There was a similar enlarger for B&W with a normal tungsten bulb but I forget the designation. Last edited by John King; 14th July 2021 at 07:45 AM. |

Thank you Skellem and John for all your help Had not realized it but the 7700 is the one I used at collage.
I have been looking for an upgrade but not sure if i can fit it in my postage stamp size darkroom.
