hand colouring (RC)
Has anybody had success hand colouring pearl RC papers? (my preference)
If so could you please advise materials used. If it is not possible on this surface does it work on matt finish? It would be nice to know before I buy some Thank you

Ian,
have used food dyes as a colouring medium on RC paper in the [ast, it works better on a matt or lustre type surface than glossy, Richard

I used Photocolor retouching dyes they are relatively light fast.
Here's something I wrote a few years ago. Ian |

Hi, there.
I never tried coloring bw prints, but I concur with Ian about retouch colors. That seems to me the logic way to go. I use Schmincke-Keilitz colors to retouch color papers, either matte and pearl, with satisfaction. I'd expect them to work just as fine on bw paper. Cheers, M. |
