A friend recently had to sort out his recently deceased fathers prints and negatives.
What he said was he wasn't sure what he should keep and what would be thrown away. Overwhelmed by the enormity task - he threw out almost everything. What he recommended we photographers should do is condense our most significant and./or best prints and negs in to a couple of files - and mark them clearly. By all means keep all your other work - but have a clearly marked file of best work - so your children know what to hang on to. Martin |
