Default Lake District in 8 x 10

Just spotted this on the LFUK site. It may be of interest to landscape shooters.

More details of the subsequent book can be found here. http://www.greenburnpublishing.co.uk./default.htm

Stunning!
Most of these photographs seem to have been done with long focal length lenses, and as a result look quite different to the more usual wide angle landscape photographs.

I have just come back from the lake district yesterday, so this is very interesting. Strangely I used a longer lens for a few of the shots I took, normally I tend to go wide, but I found I needed longer focal lengths to get what I wanted.

The book arrived a couple of days ago and is extremely good - thanks Bill for posting. Many of the images remind me of shots taken in the US National Parks by the likes of Galen Rowell, David Muench etc, and I've not seen much of that sort of treatment given to the Lakes before. More abstraction than illustration, a refreshing change, and the authors evidently put a great deal of thought and consideration into their choice and treatment of subject.

Good service from the Unsworths as well, the book was despatched within hours of ordering it, in yards of bubble wrap to prevent damage, and despite the weather the good ole GPO managed to get it here in a couple of days.
