Default Ross Ensign Filters

Can anyone shed any light (ha ha) on filters for a Ross Ensign 12-20 please. I cannot find a definitive answer as to which sort I need, I believe push fit?, nor the actual size, 32mm/32.5mm/33mm? I have also yet to find any for sale anywhere and was wondering if any other makes would do the job. I'm particularly after a green filter.

Thanks

Andy

Andy, it is a push fit filter on all ensigns, I can't tell you the size, but any make of filter will be fine, You will need to buy second hand to get filters to fit as the sizes for these old cameras are no longer made, and they can be difficult sometimes to find, I tend to use filters a slightly oversize filter on all my old folders, including my Ross Ensign 12/20, and hold them in place with blu tac, The Selfix 12/20 is a fine camera capable of very good results indeed, especialy with the Ross xpres lens, a fine tesser type lens, I find it is at it's best stopped down to 11, and with the lens on the red dot, which is the right setting for f11, you get good depth of focus, Hope you enjoy the camera,
Richard

Andy - I had SRB Griturn make up a yellow and orange 32.5mm push on filters for my Super Isolette, unfortunately the flange was so deep that it caused vignetting. I have however now managed to find a couple of original push on filters from a camera fair.
