I really don't know what to make of this?

That's not very helpful. Having read through a load of digi-talk I still can't see it.

Heard a quote that Mandelson was pure poison, not what I would call him but anglo saxon is not appropiate here. It would appear this government is intent on removeing the rights of photographers in this country, one can only assume it is to remove the scrutiny that could hold them to account. Though I do not expect any change if there is a change of administration. Sceptic that I am I fear government of any colour will hold hard to these new powers though they are unspecified at this time and seem to be whatever is decided on the day by themselves. Interestinly the proposed restrictions on photographers will not apply to their own systems of CCTV etc. Whisper it quietly but it would seem that the Digital Economy bill would not apply to film images only to their faximalies when posted on digital media which should hopefuly make copyright indesputable.
