I suspect that if anyone here was parting with either of these then we could expect to see their valediction and departure to the "other side"
On a more serious note the very occasional RH Designs equipment comes up on e-bay or in SDS. If you are lucky it is because the user has departed to digital so the equipment may be the latest but is more likely to be because the user has bought the latest RH Designs gear and has the former model for sale. It is "grit your teeth and buy new" I am afraid. If it's any consolation I have scoured the pages of many forums and seen the spectrum of users' comments on RH Designs stuff. Never have I come across any equipment that at least one person doesn't have a bit of a reservation about after purchase EXCEPT for Richard's stuff. No one regrets buying it. It is as simple as that Mike |

I have an Analyser+ dating from 1999 which is sitting in a cupboard. It needs a new grey scale and I cannot find the foot switch (if I ever had it) but it does have the manual.
I bought it with a lot of other stuff when someone was 'going to the other side'. It worked when I tried it some time ago but I could not get my head round its use, prefering the RH timer I already had. If that is of interest, I am sure we could come to an arrangement. Mike |

Sorry not to dip in sooner but I've been away installing some double-glazing (really!). The Analyser Plus was the final version of the original before the Pro was introduced. It has pretty much the same spec but cannot be upgraded to the latest faster sensor.

I bought a Zone Master recently (already had the Stop Clock) and - wonderful! Not only is there much less paper wasted but it's a GREAT experience to learn about tonality - and Adams' zones for that matter - through the grade bar. The price is what it is but is well worth the expense. And then, this is how I want to introduce the digital world to my darkroom.
So CMolinari, my advise is : drop your skiing holidays and get the Zone master. peter |
