Hello from a very wet and windy Cumbria
Hello everyone.
I've been a member of FADU for a while now, so I thought it was about time I introduced myself. Although a native of Essex, I now live on the northern fringe of the Lake District, where I indulge in my twin passions of landscape photography and fell-walking. I shoot mainly medium format, in the form of a Mamiya RZ. Alternatively, and especially if any climbing is involved; I prefer my less weighty C330. I have also amassed quite a collection of classic cameras - having a particular penchant for folders of various marques and formats. Time and opportunity is limited, but I try to use these for the purpose for which they were intended - rather than as dust collectors. I'm a relative newcomer to the mysteries of the darkside and still have much to learn. Having said that, I hope I can make some small, but worthwhile contribution to this community. Richard |

Welcome Richard from the southern extremity of the Furness Peninsula.
Have fun learning the dark side and don't be afraid to ask for help, it's always available. Bill |

Hi Richard and welcome. This winter might be tough where you are but I think you've made the right choice in terms of location. I used to visit that part of Essex that bordered on London and felt that it would have been OK if 95% of the rest of England hadn't decided that it had to live there to make a living.

Right Location..?
This winter might be tough where you are but I think you've made the right choice in terms of location.
Mike[/QUOTE] Thanks Mike, but having always wanted the luxury of running water in my darkroom, I would have preferred it coming from a tap, (or three) rather than over the sand bags. Richard |
